Hi all,
I had the blinking green light and it seems to have been the fmt board. I changed the board and now the TV comes on with sound then the lamp fires, then about 3 seconds later the TV shuts down and I get a solid RED STAUS light, which I belive means a short or DVI cable dissconected. If I disconnect the ballast the TV comes on with sound then after a few minutes the RED LAMP light comes on. If I leave the ballast pluged in and unplug the black leads to the lamp the TV comes on with sound then after a few minutes the RED LAMP light comes on. When I hit MENU and DEVICE it gives me the error code 44, DVI cable disconnected but it's not I've checked it. It's a Mitsubishi WD-62725 DLP. Anybody out there ever seen this or have any ideas?
Thanks for any help
Tried a different DVI cable and still same thing...
I have a same problem red light come on with error code 44. Do you have any luck fixing your, if you do know what wrong with it let me know. Thanks,
Tony.
Yes!!! I found the problem!! It was a bent pin in one of the connectors at the top of one of the boards. It was bent down flat so I couldn't see it and the connector pluged in fine. I finally found it by sheer luck. I straightened it out with a small screw driver and all was fixed after that. One thing I learned is to be sure to spray ALL ribbon cables and their connections with contact cleaner and all other connections or you WILL get wavy red and green lines.
Thanks for posting the resolution for others.Glad to hear you got it running again.
Thanks NealB. I will check all the connectors again to see if any wire got bent. I will let you know the outcome either way.
Tony.
