Hey everyone!
I recently had issues with the convergence on my Toshiba 57H81. I ordered new convergence ICs and got them installed no problem. Now, however, when I try to turn the set on the red power light just blinks and nothing comes up on the screen. I looked into this around the net and found issues with fuses 850-853, but mine are fine. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be going on with the set?

My experience with these Toshiba chasses has been that the foil patterns are easily damaged when changing the convergence IC's, especially the shield for the hypermodule. Get some magnification and look at your work carefully for open foil patterns. The horizontal drive is probably missing.
Could you elaborate on that more? I'm not that tech-literate, especially with boards and stuff like that. It took a lot of research and planning to be sure I was doing it right in the first place...
As I indicated, this is delicate work, and requires an experienced tech to troubleshoot further. That's reality, pardner.
You can't point me in the right direction or give me some steps to try?
Not very helpful, just gave me the number for their repair company.
