KDP-65WS550 doesn't turn on

My TV recently went out, at first it was giving me 10 flashing lights when I turned it on.  If I turned it off and on several times the TV would eventually turn on.  I took it to a repair center here in San Antonio, TX.  They indicated that it needs the blue projector.  Now when I turn on the TV, i don't get any flashes, i can't even get it to turn on at all.

Does anyone know of a good shop here in San Antonio that could help me with my problem?

Shop indicated that it will not be a good idea to replace the blue projector with a new one as it will be off balance with the other two that it has.

I've had this TV since 2005 and really don't want to get rid of it as the image is great.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, i've had really good luck using this forum when I was having convergence problems about 2 years ago.

Thank you.

Im not shure about their

Im not shure about their diagnosis because I wasnt there, but you can have tubes rejuvenated, which in most cases can make them better if not like new, with a crt tester.Ask them how much they woud charge you for that, also the crt's are controlled seperately by the focus block which can be adjusted to optimum value,im not shure I would want them working on my set...error 10 means high voltage protection.I actually have this set in my bedroom, and the blue tube is going bad on it,pretty commom for this set from what i've heard,I also had a problem with the focus block which may be causing your problem as well,i'll post a link to a thread that can help you with that, but definitely have the blue tube rejuvenated if you can get it up and running.

when you do this mark the knobs so you can put them back where they were,I use a white pin and mark the knob and the base with a stripe, unplug the set remove the front bottom cover and mark the knobs then rock them all back and forth several times untill they feel smooth, return them to their original position and reassemble and see if it turns on.

I'll have to check with the

I'll have to check with the TV service centers in my area. Yeah I'm not going to take my TV there anymore. This shop was the closest to where I live, that is why i took it there. As for the TV not turning on, i know I'm getting power to the TV because it acts like it's going to turn on and it doesn't. I'm not getting any flashing lights or anything, just one solid then power off. What should I do there?

For the rejuvenate, how much does something like that cost? I'm sure you know how good this TV is since you have one. This TV is perfect for our game room, so really don't want to get rid off, but also don't want to spend several hundreds of dollars to get it fixed.

I had done the convergence fix on the tv as mentioned, but this issue i'm not sure I have the tools or experience to fix on my own. If you know of any service shops in San Antonio that are good, please let me know.

Thanks for your prompt response.
