When I plug my TV in, the green light on the front will blink for about 1 minute and stop. Then if I press the power button nothing happens. I have tried to reset the system with the reset button on the front with the same result. I left the unit unplugged overnight, same result. Checked error code and it is 12 no problem found according to the service manual. I removed the DM module and there does not appear to be any bulging compacitors. The fuse in the unit at the power cord is not blown. I have no idea where to go from here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try disconnecting the front panel buttons from the rest of the set. Remove the front speaker grill and disconnect the cable going to the circuit board for the manual pushbutton switches. Then use the remote to control the set. I've seen several of this chassis that have this problem.

Awesome oldtech2 you are the man! That fixed it. So i guess I need to purchase a new from control panel? If so, is there somewhere that you recommend buying it from, maybe that helps support this site?
