So, i'm hoping someone can give me a hand with this. I've checked the forum threads that people have already discussed this and I couldn't find a solution.
I was having some convergence issues on the TV and came to the conclusion that the convergence ICs were bad. So i replaced those, no complications, and suddenly the TV was working perfectly.
It worked great for about two weeks and then in an instant while using the TV the all the convergence suddenly went all off again. This time it's not just in the sides and corners, but the red and green are off completely. I checked the two ICs and one of them is no longer getting hot, so it's obviously not getting any power. I checked the yellow fuses under the heatsinks and they all tested as good.
What other things could cause the problem. If you need pictures/more info, please let me know.
Thanks for your help everyone! let me know what you think!

Where did you get the ic's from when you replaced them?Even though the IC isnt getting warm it could still be getting power to it,just not through it.Your situation sounds a lot like others who used the cheapest chips they could find and got exactly that, cheap non original chips.
Yeah, that had crossed my mind too. Admittedly, I didn't search around much before buying the ICs I used, and they were indeed very cheap. I may have to check it out and maybe try a different one.
That does sound like a very possible source of the problem.
tvrepairkits or mcmelectronics are a couple of trusted places that I know of.
