I just joined this forum in order to fix a TV that i really love until the repairman said it would be $400 or more to fix. I read several post on the WS 55859 Mitsubishi. I had the blinking light so I changed out the seven capacitors on the DMI board, now when I push the power button it stays lite for 3 seconds no picture or audio.. nothing. Did i put the capacitors on wrong or am i missing a step or is the next problem a Convergence issue. Please send advice. Some one said the DM board might not be seated right. What is meant by this? or maybe some SMD fuses. Thank you in advance.

Hold the device and Menu buttons on the panel of the tv for 5 seconds there will be a series of blinks then a short pause and another series,it will repeat 5 times, but you only need to count the first and second series of blinks and post them here.
code 22 reading service manual short protect. Where do I begin. Thank you "Evil"
Our WS 55613 also has the blinking light issue. Tech changed out caps and said the DM board is bad no longer available. Called Mitsubishi and they said the same searching online nothing... told it might be able to be rebuilt has anyone experienced this and do you know what this might cost in repair. I am going to try to get a code but so far just constant blinking nothing changes that.
Start your own thread then call ptscorp.com and ask them if they can rebuild it, they also sell boards.
Have you done a convergence circuit repair recently?
If not you may need to. check fuses on the 24+ and 24- that supply voltage to the convergence ic's F9A04 and F9A05 pay carefull attention to the wires you pull off as they fit different plugs.
I like to post a link of the manual in case others need it. http://www.techlore.com/download/22529/MitsubishiWS55859-WS65869-WS55909...
Evil. I changed the Convergence circuit about two years ago. The TV picture never showed any signs of trouble. We had a power surge, that's when the trouble started.
Have you checked the fuses mentioned above?
