my brother recently gave me his old ws 55315 that he had put away. when he set it aside it was working fine. it has been a while since he used it and so he handed it over but when i go to turn it on nothing happens just a soft click in back. ran self diagnostic and gave me a 2-3 horizontal deflection. can anyone tell me how to fix this as i do not have the pockets to buy one of the newew fancy tvs. thanks for help
A brand name would help tremendously. My guess would be a mitsubishi?
you are correct its a mitsubishi 55 in projection tv
you are correct it is a mitsubishi 55 inch projection tv.
Get the service manual from the technicians corner for that model and locate the DM board in the tv and check for bulged capacitors.also search for Blinking Light Of Death or BLOD and mitsubishi blinking light repair in the search bar above there are lots of information on this problem.
yeah i have read that my model doesnt have a DM. and like ive said ive checked everywhere for bad caps and blown fuses and they all seem to be in good.
Did you say you have checked for bad caps?maybe that was in another thread..... Im still waiting for a service manual for the v24 chassis assuming thats what yours is.....and have been for a week for another guy.If i get it i will post it.Cant do much without it.
anything; anybody; my god do i have the one tv that is a big mystery. Larry if you could how bout some help here. thanks in advance
ok so i pulled out all the circuit boards and checked fuses, caps and resistors and everything looks good. vaccumed them all cause they were very dusty. plugged everything back in and now i get a different code. 2-2 it used to be 2-3, is this normal or should i just give up on the thing and chunk it.
