Zenith z50p3 picture

My sister has a z50p3 that started to show some issues with the picture. On dark scenes you can notice a lot of flickering red pixels. They actually show all the time but are more noticable during dark scenes. Ive tried all the inputs and they all have it bluray dvd and cable. Are these signs of a failing tv or has she just not noticed them before. It almost looks like red glitter all over the screen. She has an extended warranty and I would like someones input so I dont hear from the store where she bought the tv that its normal for this to happen. Thanks for the help in advance.

Definitely get the extended

Definitely get the extended warranty service company into play on this one.

Red sparkle issues in LG/Zenith Plasma's are normally repaired with the replacement of the X & Y sustain boards along with the logic board.  Some guys will attempt to adjust out the sparkles by tweaking controls on the Y sustain board but those repairs rarely last.

If the replacement of the 3 boards doesn't work then the last resort is a new PDP panel.  The set may get salvaged by the Ext. Warranty company if that scenario happens.

HAVE A ZENITH PLAZMA SET

HAVE A ZENITH PLAZMA SET MODEL # Z42PX2D
THE SET RUNS WITH SOUND BUT NO PICTURE.
ALL THE MODUELS IN IT ARE WARM AND HAVE THE RIGHT VOLTAGES ON THEM.
WHEN YOU FIRST TURN THE SET ON THE BLUE ON/OFF LED BLINKS 12 TIMES.
DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHERE TO LOOK FOR THE NO PICTURE PROBLEM
AND WHAT DOES THE BLINKING LED MEAN.

I have a Zenith z50p3 and I

I have a Zenith z50p3 and I have to click the power button numerous times for the tv to actually come on. And I know that it is about to come on because the pic begins to fade in and then it appears after several attempts. Then the sound will go from clicking to a pop and then it comes on...The sounds is like a connection or the television had to warm up.
