Sounds like its not detecting

Sounds like its not detecting an OS/Operating System.Try hitting the esc button a few times when you turn it on untill you get into the bios,it may be a different button, then look for a booting order and/or installed devices such as {HDD/Hard Drive Disk} and what ever else is installed, floppy, disk drive,to see if its even recognizing the HDD.some more detail on exactly where the computer gets to on the screen before it beeps would be useful,IE.does it get to the windows logo or login screen or does it do it as soon as you turn it on before theres anything on the screen.

OK if your not even getting

OK if your not even getting to bios, them i would assume it is a hardware malfunction IE corrupted RAM stick, corrupted bios, video card, something you have attached to it.but emachines arent known for there quality.i have had my own experience with them and stay as far away from them as possible.even if something is corrupt other than ram it usually still comes on and does a boot check.if you have more than one ram stick i would try removing all but one and try to boot it,if that doesnt work i would take that one out and try another one by itself, and repeat as necessary and if that didnt work i would install all of the ram and try unplugging any and all IDE cables and aftermarket hardware= video card, everything other than the HDD and reboot if that dont work sounds like a MOBO{mother board} to me,or corrupted bios

I TRYED IT AND STILL THE BEEPS SO I PUT IN A DIFFERENT MEMORY AND THE BEEPS DID NOT COME BACK BUT THE HARD DRIVE STILL WILL NOT BOOT UP.

FOUND ON THE WEB MEMORY-UP.COMAND IT SAID THAT IT IS A SPECIAL
MEMORY G SERIES SO I HAVE ORDER ONE.

I HAVE PLENTY OFF MEMORY 133 TRYED ALL OF THEM SOME ARE NOT WORKING AND SOME ARE TRYED MEMORY FROM ANOTHER COMPUTER AND STILL GOT THE BEEPS.

SO WHEN I RECEIVE THE NEW MEMORY I WILL LET YOU KNOE IF IT WORKS

ram has different bays ,bay 1

ram has different bays ,bay 1,bay 2 ,bay 3,bay 4 even i dont know how many slots you have for ram but some computers are picky abount which slot you have the single ram stick installed in.most of them want it installed in slot 1,you can tell this by taking a flash light and looking at the ends of the slots for the ram on the mobo there should be in tiny words SLOT WHATEVER next to them.most of the newer computers arent as picky

evil
also i would suggest getting

also i would suggest getting your ram click HERE as i have used them extensively with not a one regret and they have about the cheapest ram prices around.

HI

HI
EVIL
I HAVE ORDERED A 256MB MEMORY AND THEN WENT IN TO YOUR
WWW.CRUCIAL.COM/ AND WHEN I LOOKED UP THE RAM FOR THE EMACHINE 360 IT SAID MAX 512MB SO CAN I PUT THE 256MB IN OR WILL I HAVE TO BUY THE 128MB

IT HAS 2 SLOTS FOR MEMORY

ERIC VISTA

evil
if you have 2 slots you

if you have 2 slots you should be able to put a 256 Mb stick in each slot totaling 512, 256+256 =512.or you may be able to just put 1 stick of 512 Mb in slot 1.but honestly if thats all the memory your computer can use you may be better of just getting a new computer instead of trying to fix this OOLLDD one.i have had to use computers running windows xp with that much ram and it seemed to be non functional but in reality it was just really really slllooowww.

your problem just went from

your problem just went from bad to worse.....as i said before it may have been in your best intrest to go ahead and spend the extra $ on a new computer or NEW to you/ but USED,sounds like when the ram crapped out it corrupted your HDD.your HDD may even have a bad sector in it now there are several ways to correct this problem, all but one require you to have a WINDOWS XP cd.ill start with the one that dont require it since you dont have the cd,and probably wont be able to get one via customer service from EMACHINES.this is probably a long shot but here goes, you may have a recovery partition installed on your HDD that you can access by tappping a certain button during boot up = F "1 - 12".or you can put that test HDD in another computer as the secondary HDD in the bios, this is vitally important as most of the time you have to set the "TEST HDD" as secondary as well via the pins on it.then just open MY COMPUTER when it boots and the secondary "TEST" hdd will be under one of the following drive letters depending on what you have installed on the computer you are testing the "TEST" HDD with,if it were me i'd disconnect all ide cables execpt the primary and seconday "TEST" hdd.once you find some familiar files from the old "TEST" hdd, where you entered the files i'm assuming drive c:\ on that HDD if you had a recovery partition installed then there would be another drive letter, usally d:\,so to clarify you will have c:\ and d:\ on the old "TEST" HDD if you have the recovery partition.or you can try tapping all the F buttons during boot up,but on most older computers these didnt have a recovery partition,as i said before it may have been in your best intrest to go ahead and spend the extra $ on a new computer.

also be aware that when you

also be aware that when you attach the secondary "TEST" HDD on the same ide cable as the primary HDD on the test computer be aware of the words wrote on the IDE cable as there should be primary and secondary on them and attach the HDD accordingly.also this is the simple test it only gets more complicated from here.....

sounds like you dont have

sounds like you dont have enough system resources to play the games,RAM.also could be the video card.you will have to read the system requirements that all games come with and compare that to what is in the computer.
