Color problems......Went to mute 183 realigned the lines as good as I could and press save lbut will not hold after i tun off tv, and today will not hold even if I leave the tv on .....If I need a repair man what part do I nee and what should I be expected to pay for the total job ??? Thanks Gabe
More than likely, you have convergence circuit failure. The convergence IC's are located on the subdeflection board. This is a job for a technician and probably costly, more than 300 dollars, depending on whether the board itself is replaced or just rebuilt.
Now the screen has gone black and will not turn on......Boneyard bound???? Gabe
As anyone ever tried to fix this problem on their own and what part or parts number will I be looking for and how do I go about it .....If the cost is reasonable I am willing to give it a try ....even if my wife thinks I'm crazy....But I am a man and defeat is not something I take lightly........Gabe
