Is it possible to replace a Sony KP57-WS500 green tube with a Sony KP51-WS510 (smaller screen, newer model) green tube? They both have the RA-6A chassis.
I'm not a TV tech, but I'm pretty sure that as long as the numbers on the CRT tubes match then it should work.
IF the numbers are different then it might not work cause of the voltage the CRT's takes are different and the yoke that goes on the CRT neck make have a different affect on a different tube.
