i have a mitsubishi 60 inch tv that i am having problems with hopefully someone can help me with. it turns on and has sound and even will display a picture for a moment then a large black square appears in the middle of the screen and then squiggly lines appear throughout the picture. I know squiggly lines is not a very technical term but once again, not an expert. anyone have any ideas on what may be wrong or how to fix?
It sounds like someone has turned on the closed caption feature on this TV set. Without a model number, as every Mitsubishi TV set is not the same, I cannot tell you exactly how to turn off this feature. It might be on the the remote and have CC by the button, or this feature could be in the menu on the TV set itself. Good Luck and let us know if you get this working.
We found out how to turn off the caption thing, but it is still doing the lines any more suggestions?
I do not understand what you mean by sqwiggly lines?
Larry,
You're the man, thank you so much for your help. Your CC advise got rid of the black box but i still have the red/green/blue squiggly lines all over the screen. It used tot ake a little while before they came on the screen but now it does it immediately once you turn the tv on. Have any idea what i'm looking at on this or what could be wrong?
thank you
jeff
It sounds like your projector isn't calibrated. It's projecting 3 different colored pictures, that usually make one multicolored picture, but your T.V. is projecting them in different spots.
My 60in mitsubishi 1080p has a squiggly line going thru it horizontal about midway on the left side is that the projector? And how can i fix it
Have a Mitsubishi Model # CS 40503 and am having the black box in screen problem. I can't find CC options anywhere in the TV menu. Can you help.
