Zenith L17W36DVD displays only moving vertical color bars

Hi,

This is a 3 year old Zenith combo LCD/DVD L17W36DVD. It powers up, has audio, all controls work, but the display only shows moving color bands on all inputs, like it is trying to display the picture, but it is not functioning properly, obviously. Any thoughts?
