I picked up a Magnavox 51MP392H/17 rear projection television. I can adjust the red convergence vertically, but cannot get it to align left more. It'll go right, but not far enough left to line up. Is there a way to adjust the green convergence? I've attached a picture of the issue. The blue convergence lines up perfectly.
Is there a way to physically adjust the lamps to get it to line up better so that I can use the digital convergence to fine-tune it?
Any tips or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Here is a picture of the issue:
Magnavox 51MP392H/17, use the DPTV305 manual from the download section.
The manual will list other Philips/Magnavox models in this series, you can search this forum with those model numbers for dozens of threads on convergence issues.
Remove the chassis and inspect all solder joints, esp. on convergence ic's, check resistors 3149 - 3160, 3159 and 3160 for red. Check continuity between conv. ic's and conv. resistors.

I've actually got the service manual downloaded already (I'm 98.265% sure it's the correct one). Where in there should I look?

If you are still having problems, you might just decide to go ahead and replace the convergence ICs (Chips) and the Resistors. I HIGHLY recommend getting the kit from tvrepairkits.com (http://www.tvrepairkits.com/xcart/home.php?cat=3539) is for this specific model. You are definately having a convergence issue, as I understand can be common with these models. I have two of these in our house as well as a 57SXW20B Hitachi. The Hitachi is getting it's chips replaced as we speak and one of the Magnavoxs' ICs will be replaced within the month. (The 57 was a gift from a friend and I figured if I'm gonna do one TV, I might as well do two!!). Actually, after I repair one of the Magnavox tvs, I'm donating it to the local Emergency Management Office. Seems like a nice place to have a 52" HDTV ;-)

I have a magnavox 51MP392H117. it has been acting up off and on for a few months it seemed to be a convergence problem. The green lamp would cause lines to appear all across the screen. After the T.V. was on for 3min. or so it would work fine. Now it will only "light up" for a few seconds then there is a loss of screen. Sound stays perfect. Please get me started on the path to clear television Before Football season sets in. Please!!!!!!
Based on your description, suspect cracked solder joints, or bad convergence ic's/resistors, or failing green tube.
I would start by labeling all wires, pulling the chassis, inspecting boards with magnifier.
Read some other convergence posts to get an idea of what that issue looks like.
