No Sound

Ok, so here is what happened. I was taking my friends recently installed cd players. Everything was ok until I re-installed the stock cd player. When I turned the unit on there was a display, but no volume control. There was no sound at all. I don't know why this is happening. I'm pretty sure I hooked all the wires up. Although there was one of the two circle outlets that had nothing going to it. Any thoughts would be very helpful, thanks.

if your trying to hook up the

if your trying to hook up the stock player, best thing to do is to get the repair manual for that car at an after market auto part store as the repair manual has most audio hookups wire for wire and color for color for that make, year, and model and what they do. You can even maybe find it in a book thats not sealed and ask the store clerk to photo copy it for you. I have done that a few times. if not oh well, most manuals for the cars, only cost about $15.00 bucks. Good luck and please let us know how you made out??? Thanks..

Thanks for your input, I got

Thanks for your input, I got a manual for my civic just to have. I didn't need one for the eclipse because I found the problem early this morning. What happend was, when the aftermarket sound system was installed, they amplified the speakers too. So what was stopping the sound from working was, the factory harness for the speaker amp was cut and modified. I didn't even know there was a factory speaker amp in the car. The only reason I found it was because I followed the speaker wires that were curled up in the back on the deck area. So I just crimped the harness back togeather. I was rushed the day I was sopposed to take it out, that's why I over looked the amp. Thanks for the help again.
