Does anyone know if when the red lamp light is on, is it possible that it might be something other then the lamp. I did take the lamp and was told that it wasn't bad. The red light is on but my question is this. If it were just the lamp wouldn't I still have audio? I have nothing but static noise and just didn't want to go out and buy another lamp only to find that it was actually something else. Any thoughts out there? I really appreciate any thoughts on what I could try next.
I'm not sure what I may be doing wrong but is there no one out there that can answer questions such as this one? I'm at such a loss as to what to try next when I really don't have the funds to hire a pro to fix this Mits WD52525. It was bought used and now I have a great looking tv that does not work. Anyone out there with any ideas for me. Is there any other way to get an answer here? Getting desparate in Chicago...lol.
man I do feel your pain, I to have a problem like yours somewhat and I bought a bulb and replaced it and It didnt work, so I too got onto this site thinking that someone on here would help me out , but still no answer for anyone, I think this is a joke! I wish you well on your tv, and as a friend I would love to hear your outcome if if you find it ! good luck Gene humphries [email protected]
Yea...that's why I was not sure that the first step should be to spend the money that I don't have for a new bulb and find out that didn't do the trick. Opened up the back of the tv and was able to figure out how to get the chassis pulled out. I found a site where you can d/l a manual that helped some.

How far along are you? I don't mind helping at all. I'll e-mail you. I realize that all the help we get here is people helping each other out so I'm happy for whatever help I get. I'll keep plugging along here and hopefully I'll get the answers I need to get my set operational. Right now it's just sitting and I don't have the funds to buy another one. I bought this one used, hoping to save a few bucks. We'll see.
Hey Gene...I tried to e-mail ya but it came back undeliverable. This is where I sent e-mail. [email protected]
my bad ! Gary ! I left out the (m) in my adress sorry ! it is [email protected]! have you had any luck with your quest yet?man I just wished I have a magic wond to everones problems! I just want me tv back like you do, Im sure! any thanks for the reply and best of luck to you ! your friend Gene
No...haven't really tried to do anything in the past few days but I think what I'm going to do next is to change out the capacitors. I'll either buy the instructions for that or the complete kit that includes the capacitors. I'm going to try and find a phone number where I can call and see which capacitors I would need. I understand there is a kit but I'm not sure which ones are included. I'm going to be quite familiar with tv sets after all this I think.
Here is a link to the repair manual...just thought I'd post it in case you don't have one yet and also for anyone else who is following this thread.
