Brought back this HCT tv from Iraq and need to know if I can get it to work on 110vac. It now has the 220vac plug. The back of the tv has written 100/220vac 50/60hz. Does it have a jumper on the power supply to switch voltage and frequency or is it more in depth? Also how can I be sure it is discharged so I don't end up on the other side of the room. I assume your in The US? I am sorry to say, but even if you do get the set going, and I am sure it can be done. Is the set a multi sync set? As if it is not, you will get a bad picture or with most likely no color, as the color systems are differant here then they are there. Now the voltage issue. In sets I have seen marked like this before, the power supply was automatic. You may simply need an adaptor on the plug end or cut is off and install a 110volt plud. to be sure, look in the owners manual as to the proper use of the set. Cut off the 220 plug and installed a 110 plug,got the standby light with power supplied but set would not power up. Didn't blow the fuse or burn anything up as fare as I can smell. I remember now about the sync issue so the may be waisted effort but any other ideas would be appreciated. Thanx
It could be a multi-sync type TV set though. Maybe it got damaged in transist? It seems like it should work with that power supply specs that are on the back of your set. Maybe it might be worth an estimate? What type of TV set is it? It may need the 220 to run and maybe there is a jumper or plug that needs to be changed. Do you have the owners manual? Never heard of this brand before.
Do not have the manual as I bought it from someone in Iraq. The brand name is HCT. Any idea how I can discharge the CRT?

I have a hct021tb and i wanted to i have a childlock on it, plus i don't a remote to it, but somehow the dvd, which is hct brand works somewhat. but the buttons work with some button commands. not in actual assignment. How can I unlock the child lock?
I just bought a HCT tv model HTV-021TB. I have AFN cable in my room but the port on the TV does not match the male coaxial cord plug in. Is there an adapter I can get so I can watch AFN in my CLU? thanks.
You will need to get a cable fitting adapter to fit the one on the tv set.
