Greetings, My 55513 had the blinking green LED issue once awhile back but a hard reset solved that. I've been having a problem where the video goes black for a few seconds (can see some colored horizontal lines momentarily), the video comes back on and displays Comp1 1080i in the upper right corner for a few seconds. This 'video loss' happens intermittently (some days it works fine, other days is is continuous and I can't watch TV). Pressing AV reset and/or powering the TV off for a few minutes sometimes resolves the issue for a few hours. I've also seen the TV volume meter come up and the meter is automatically moving from zero to max when the video comes back on. Sometimes the TV remote won't work (it has fresh batteries) and occasionally the set won't turn on via the remote (but does come on if I press Power on the front panel). I don't think any of the buttons on the front panel are stuck in the 'enabled' position. It seems like it's a problem with the IR remote controller board or something like that. I don't believe I have the same symptoms as the dreaded blinking green LED, however, could this still be related to the caps in the DM module or do you think it is a problem elsewhere? The set is already pulled out, back cover is off, I have a good soldering iron and have a good local electronic components store locally. Thanks for your help on this.
I also wanted to mention that the video is fine during the intermittent video loss. I also downloaded the blinking green LED repair document and the service manual from your excellent articles section.
