Help! So many Ipod options can only buy one!!

Heya!

I was hoping that someone could help me out. I am in the market for an Ipod--yes, I still don't have one, LOL and I was hoping someone could help me figure out which one to get. I know that there are good ones--Apple and then some no name brands..Rio Forge, Creative Zen....But I am at a total loss. I want to hold about 800 songs and I think that I want video, though it is not mandatory. In my research, I did find a website that is actual people that have bought the different types and then make video reviews about them and that has helped me alot. Not knowing all the technical stuff, I found it helpful because I can watch a video and the people explain alot about the different types and even show some features which is easier then all the tech jargon. I posted a few links below if anyone is interested--if even to mke holiday shopping easier. I have bought 2 "early" Christmas gifts based on what I read and now it looks like they have even catered the site to the holidays.

This last one is the one I said they seem to be catering to the holidays.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much!

Hi Jenn,

Hi Jenn,

I have one of the 5th generation "Video iPods" and I absolutely love it.  I've got about 3000 songs on it, several seasons of my favorite TV shows, some games, my address book (from Outlook), and my calendar (also from Outlook).  It's a very simple device that is easy to use and has never given me any trouble.  Getting things on it is easy using Apple's iTunes program.  I also use my iPod as a portable hard drive to back up important files from my PC.  It's a very useful device and I highly recommend it.  On the downside, it's more expensive than some of the non-Apple options and it's a little bigger than some of the MP3 players available today.

I haven't had the chance to play with the newest iPod - the iPod Touch - yet, but it looks really neat.  If I were in the market for a new iPod today, I'd definitely take a look at that one as well.

Hope that helps, Jenn!
