Please Help with guidance for Samsung hc-p4363w

Hello,

Im a noob here in the electronics arena. Laughing For starters I'll just say hello and I hope someone can enlighten me a lil... Anyhow, I just aquired a FREE Samsung hc-p4363w tv. After plugging in and realizing nothing happened, as in no light's, sounds, etc. I proceeded to remove rear cover. I discovered what looks to be, someone (previous owner, repair person) has removed what I believe to be a Power Supply unit. There is a plug lead that comes off the board that is attatched to the receptical plug (thing that plugs into home receptical) and it is dangling freely, as well as approx, 3 - 4 other cable harnesses, all look to be power supply type, 2 of which are serial type cables with 8-10 pins on them. Also there is a large cavity and numorous small screw holes in the molded plastic case, where something should be.

So, now that I've concluded something is obviously missing and I have had ZERO success finding said item thru google searches I've ended up here... I dont need the TV as I have a 50" Pani Plasma, although I could use the TV in my breezway for gaming etc. So if the concencus is that it's economical to repair I'm willing to try. Please help direct me in the right direction. FYI I have a fluke type meter for car (auto repair) and I'm sorta comfortable poking and proding, I do alotta auto wiring and diagnostic troubleshooting, but have little to no home electronic repair experiance.

Thank you in advance.

Cheers,

Heath

BTW: Model#:hcp4363w , Model code: hcp4363wx/xaa , Serial#: z04431ex500198f , type: th43h3

Many if not all of the boards

Many if not all of the boards for that unit have been unavailable from Samsung for a year or two now. You might want to try PTS electronics. They're a circuit board rebuilder but they often have rebuilt boards for sale.

I have been offered a free TV

I have been offered a free TV model Samsung HCP4363W that needs a replacement part item #BP9401794A which I have no idea were to get this part.

Also don't know what the part replaces and how much this part would cost and would I be able to replace it with little electronic knowledge.

Could someone help me. Is it worth bringing home ?

Yes it's worth a try if you

Yes it's worth a try if you have the mechanical skills to take things apart and keep track of where parts go, and access to a multimeter and soldering supplies, 43" widescreen HD monitor.
The part number BP9401794A seems to be the power deflection board, and may or may not need replacing, may just need soldering or a few components, but could be totally ruined by coolant leak and need replacing, you wont know until you observe what the set does, then disassemble and inspect the boards..
