I recently developed a problem with my WD 62725 shutting off on its own, and the timer light blinks green. Initially when it happened, I unplugged / plugged the tv and it seemed to be fine for a couple of weeks. Now it only stays on for a couple of minutes, then an assorment of vertical colored lines appear for a few seconds, then the tv shuts off and the timer light blinks green again. DIAGNOSIS PLEASE???
You might have bad capacitors on the DM, power supply or maybe even the FMT board. Good luck
I also have this issue on my WD 62725.
Larry, I got instructions and a caps kit from tvrepairworld.com, and spent a careful and grueling (the shield design on this thing is awful) 4 hours to replace the caps on the DM board. They did not look bad. I have experience soldering, and do not expect to have created any additional issues.
This did not resolve the issue. Should I try replacing CAPs on the FMT PWB? Would it have the the same error code?
Pressing Device and Menu does not show any response or error code.
I would appreciate any additional info you could send to [email protected]
