took the Main PCB board out to look at it and found a resistor burnt up, it was R5K01. Also found the diode next to it D5K02 is bad, i took it out of the circuit to check it, got nothing.
Ok, so the diode and the resistor going into the Transistor (Q5K00) and also the resistor comming off of the transistor were blown. I got the transistor with three prongs out of the circuit, tested it and i'm gettin no readings from it. So, I need to replace these 3 parts.
they are on the "PCB-MAIN", the middle board. The resistor that is burnt out goes to a "DE" plug with one red wire on it that is going to a board in the very front of the tv, by the three lights, im not sure what this is.
Hi Larry ; I have A Mitsubishi WS-55857 that it has the same simptoms like the other guys here ... I check the code that gives me ans also is a code 22 what do you think that can be before i buy a convergence card or go checking for fuses which i check some but they seem to be fine ... if there is anything that you can do to help me i will appreciate it .. also i will appreciate if you can send me the repair manual if you have it arround for this model... Thank you
Ok Larry,
Finally got the parts in and still a no go.
Still the same thing, code 22.
I was looking at the power supply pcb and noticed some dark
marks near the large Transformer (T9A50), I'm not sure if it's the transformer or the two coils near it, (L9A50, L9A52). Can I check the coils or the transformer with my meter? If the transformer went out, could it be what blew the other things in my set?
Again thanks for all your help Larry!
I just got the same problem with my WS65313 Mitsubishi TV yesterday. It shut off all by itself and will not turn on. The green light comes on for 2 seconds then out again. No audio and no visual. Same thing as tgorup.
I think Mitsubshi needs to fix this problem. This seems like a recurrent theme. We got the short end of the deal.
Please help if you have any ideas on fixing this problem. Or better of with new TV set
it sounds like you have a two fold problem. the capacitor repair AND a convergence repair the convergence repair is probably causing your problem now, but you nreed to replace the capacitors so the DM does not blow out as they are no longer available. you can go to tvrepairkits.com and get both repair kits, they are full kits and include all the proper recommended replacement parts(no cheap china made parts!!! THEY also include full repair documentation wth pictures, soldering instructions, and free on-line tech assistance if you hit a snag with these repairs. GOOD LUCK!!!
Hi guys, in regards to the mitsubishi 65 inch 65313 I finally got APM electronics to come out and try to fix this set. Unfortuanely it was a terrible experience. APM electronics in Houston gave me the run around for 6 weeks !!! and did not fix a thing. They did not know what was wrong and did not fix anything. They had the nerve to charge me for services "not rendered" as well. I was so upset with them. I finally placed the TV in the trash and bought a new samsung LCD. Never, ever use APM electronics in Houston. They are crooks, liars and incompetent. I wish I could get my money back from those crooked people.
Hello, I have a WS-65313 and it does not work. There are no error codes and the fuses are good. I have tried to turn it on and it will come on every now and then. However when it does come on, the remote will not work for any function. All the voltages will check good and pretty much in tolerance. I am pretty good with a meter and schematics but, I cannot tell what is going on when the set does not work. For example how many standby voltages are there? Just the two 5vs and 9vs? Please help. I came across this "Projection Television
Technical Training & Troubleshooting Manual but it is for a ws-48513. Do they make one for the WS-65313. Thanks

Hey Larry,
You got a place I could get these parts at? I'm having a hard time finding one. the parts I need are Q5K00, D5K02, and R5K01. Thanks again.
where do these parts to to what board, What circuit?
