Hi, I have a WD-52525 and am having problems with it. First, the lamp light warning kept coming up and finally the tv would not turn on. I unplugged it and about a month later for the heck of it, turned it back on and it worked for a couple months. Then the tv started not to turn on again and the lamp light would blink orange or red, can't remember. So I replaced the lamp and fired it back up and it had a really messed up picture, but it did turn on. I turned it off to adjust and make sure the lamp was plugged in good and turned it back on. Then the same origional problem was occuring. The tv will act like it is starting up and then after about 15-20 secs, it shuts off and the lamp light blinks. Any clue as to what the problem is and/or how I can fix it?
On the off chance that this helps you (even though it's been awhile since you started this thread) or someone else, I thought I would respond.
If the lamp light is blinking green after the TV shuts off (even though it was not on for very long) then that is most likely just the lamp fan indicator, telling you the lamp fan is running. This is normal. My thought is that since the lamp light is continuing to blink, it might be light green/ yellow and that means that the lamp cover is not securely fastened.
Since you just replaced your lamp, you might want to try simply retrace your steps and make sure that he lamp cartidge assembly (not sure of exact name) is securely in place and that the cover is fastened back to flush.
Hope this helps,
Nick
Sorry quick follow up ... If you haven't already done this, try holding down the reset for about 20 seconds, then attempting power up again.
Good luck and keep us posted,
Nick
I tried the reset for 20 seconds and flashing just started again.
Repair call is set for 7/29. Any other tricks I should try?
I have done the unplug everything for 30 minutes also unsuccessful.
