Working on this set, bright screen/ green retrace lines. turned down screen control.set worked great.few minutes later screen would "pulse" and seem to become brighter again. could hear flyback working hard. turned screen control all the way off. Picture still on. Hmm sets I have worked on would go dark. Suspect 200v problem. esr caps on neck board and around flyback, all ok.
Re-soldered flyback. Noticed 2 ps diodes unsoldered.Hmm someone has been here. Resoldered and tried again. Same result. I am leaning towards flyback. However may be shorted tube.
Weirdis that it takes a minute or 2 to diplay condition , which may indicate bad caps.

Going to try rejuinate green gun, if it responds, will scrap set.(if it becomes unstable).If that doesnt work, I will follow ABL circuit. Failing that, need schematic. Possibly can get pullout flyback. If that works, will repost results for everyone

Is 32hx71 a model number or chassis number, can't find much info searching it.
Bad screen control? Solder on crt socket pins?

It is one of those widescreen cinema series. manufactured 2001.The flyback has two focus controls and one screen control.Tried an old trick.spraed the screen control(control cleaner) ran back and forth. thought it worked. did not .

Thanks very much for the links to the correct service manual.
I discovered something else, noticed some silicone around the screen wire coming out of flyback (more evidence someone has been here). Possibly safe to say transformer is hurting. Going to see if I can order reasonably priced one.
Again appreciate your help with this one, will let you know how this "flys"
