Oops - TV is a 36 inch Toshiba - Model No. CN36H97 Worked fine, turned it off at night, but when turned on the next day.....DEAD..... NO previous problems, but now NO picture, NO sound, nothing)! Any suggestions as to what happened or how to troubleshoot said problem!!
Matt: The fuse (which was blown) that I replaced was in the 125-volt line supplying the horizontal output transistor. When you turn tv on, I have the 5 and 12-volt standby voltages, plus I have the 160-volt supply. I also replaced horizontal output transistor and flyback (set is still dead)!
Matt: Do you know (or is there someone you could check with) IF the Power Supply for my Toshiba CN36H97 TV is the same as a Power Supply for a Toshiba CN36H90 TV??
Unfortunately, everyone I've asked doesn't seem to be able to give me a direct answer. Have you tried contacting one of Toshiba's authorized service centers? I know you want to fix the TV yourself, but they should at least be able to reference the part numbers for you.

Would also appreciate any comments/suggestions that anyone might have regarding similar or same problem, but with different "size or brand name" TV!
Was the fuse blown when you went to replace it? Or did it look okay, but you replaced it anyway?
