I have a logitech USB headset I want to use on xbox live. Is there a way I can cut a USB extender in half, plug the headset into the female end of the extender and wire a 2.5mm male plug on the other end to plug into the controller. The USB extender has 4 wires inside and the 2.5mm plug from my broken xbox 360 headset has three wires but I'm not sure what wires to hook where. Thankyou for any help.
Further details: The broke xbox 360 headset only has three wires coming from the 2.5mm adapter. G, M+, SP+. I assume ground, mic positive and speaker positive. I believe usb is red=5V power, green=usb data+, white=usb data-, and black=ground. How would I connect these to the 2.5 wires?
