When you push the "on" button, there is a humming noise, the light comes on, and then goes off. This happens three times. I have checked the main glass fuse, and the three small brown fuses next to the flyback.
I have also checked for CRT coolant leakage, and there is not any. I have read elsewhere that a bad flyback is a common problem with these symptons?
Can I check the flyback with it still on the board, and do I have to discharge the red wire coming off of it? If so, how? I'm not sure where it goes, but it looks like a PITA to get to the other end. Any suggestions on where to look to fix this thing? A guy on another forum said to replace the power supply/sweep module.
