DVI-D cable connected with Video cable

I just bought a GEM GM190B monitor which has a dual cable. One is for VGA to my PC and the other is a DVI-D cable. I have video built in on my PC. How would I be able to connect the DVI-D cable to my computer instead of the VGA cable? If I read correctly, the DVI-D will give me a clearer, quicker, cleaner picture. Is that a true statement also?

DVI does normally yeild

DVI does normally yeild better quality results than DVI when connected to fixed-pixel PC monitors like LCD and Plasma screens, especially at ultra-high resolutions.

Integrated video on PCs typically do not sport a DVI output, so the only way to add DVI capability to your PC would be to purchase and install a new graphics card. A graphics upgrade alone would improve image results, but depending on what you're doing on a day to day basis, simply upgrading just to connect with DVI is probably not worth your investment. If you play games or do a lot of video editing, an upgrade would be recommended.

Thanks Matt and you're right

Thanks Matt and you're right in that I don't need to upgrade if only doing day to day stuff. The help is greatly appreciated.
