I have a 65" diamond series from Mitsubishi WS-65908. TV does not power on anymore. I press the power button and it makes clicking sound but does not turn on. I tried resetting TV by pressing the Menu and Input button but nothing happens. The green light blinks and gives a code of 12 (Normal operation, no error detected). Any help will be greatly appreciated. I read couple other threads here and found that caps may need to be replaced on the DM board. I need instructions on how to do that, if that is the problem. Any docs with pictures would be great help. The repairshop gave me an estimate of $500, please help. I would like to fix it if I can do it myself. Thanks.
Any response to Ameet's problem? I have the exact same problem with my WS-65908.
ME TOO! Please help? Instructions for the dumb hobbiest would be wonderful.
I have this model TV also. It has worked flawlessly for almost 10 years. Suddenly it went dead. Pressing power button, green light comes on 2 seconds and turns off. Technician just took apart the TV, slit out all of the "guts" and took them away for repair. He showed me a couple of (what appeared to be) drops of moisture, saying that one of the projection guns leaked when a seal broke. Liquid needs to be replaced and resealed. About $500. I couldn't see anything, but it was a shop authorized by Mitsubishi. No idea if I am being scammed or if it is true. Guess I just have to trust that he is honest. I hate that.
The fix for this can be found in the Service Manual section of this site.
