I replaced my convergence IC's and no help...

I have the Philips 55PP9352 55" tv I received as a gift.....hahaha. It had what appeared to be a convergence problem, but little did I know, that after I changed the 2 chips, it did not help. So I'm asking here, what else could it be?

What it is doing, exactly, is when the TV on, and with the AV 1 in top left corner....there are actually 2 fully seperate "AV 1's". One of them is red and the other is green. If I go into the convergence area, there is no way to adjust anything. The previous owner has never messed with any adjustments or been inside the TV.

If anyone is here that is experienced with these TV's, I ask, what else could it be causing this problem? I don't mind throwing a few dollars at it, but it will be in the trash pile before it gets too far out of hand.

(when i had the board out, i did not see anything that looked burned out. i will not be desoldering all of the resistors to ring through them. i'd just as soon throw it away before i did that)

Here are the pics I took of

If all wiring connectors are

If all wiring connectors are ok,
If the red won't adjust in user menu multipoint , you may have a bad convergence resistor or have a bad circuit trace (no continuity) from the resistor to stk or crt, or have a bad stk.
The continuity resistors (6.8ohm) shouldl measure around 1/2 (3.4) in circuit.
While the board is out check solder joints with a magnifier, especially ic's and connectors.
Pull the red crt board and inspect.

Alnp, which are the

Alnp, which are the convergence resistors?
Also, what other resistors should I check?
I downloaded the service manual and I'll try to locate the 6.8 ohm resistors.
I doubt it's the new IC, just for the fact it's doing the exact same thing as before. Yes, it could happen but I doubt it.
Any additional info is greatful, before I call out a tech. Thx, Greg
PS. I also noticed a SAM area in the service manual, that is suppose to store hex. codes. I wonder how helpful this might be?

check res # 3149-3160 on the

check res # 3149-3160 on the ssm panel, between the stk's and the red, blue, green crt return connectors. see p 159 of the service manual for board. see p 615 for parts list.

All are 6.8 (6R8)ohms, 1w, 5%. the code is blue, gray gold, gold, metal film/flameproof/fusible. Look for burned resistor, esp 3159 and 3160 near the red connector since you have a red problem.

see this thread:

Stay out of the SAM service menu for now, if you make changes there before you get all the faulty parts replaced it will make things worse.

here is another related thread, there are others too:

Well, I got it fixed. I ck'd

Well, I got it fixed. I ck'd the resistors, but I did not desolder one end of each, hence I did not locate the bad resistors. I took the SSM to a place called PTS electronics. They have "several" chassis's of different type tv's, as this is there specialty. (really awesome to see this huge shop) So i hand delivered SSM. They found 4 6.5 ohm res. bad and they also replaced the 2 IC's (which I had already done. (i think they did this a precautionary) Total cost for repair $56.
(really can't beat that) A replacement board would be about the same price, but I wanted to follow the troubleshooting on what I had.
