I have a Sony projection tv model # kp57hw40 and my green projection tube keeps going out which causes my screen to stay blue. Does any one have a schematic for this unit because the parts are unavailable? It looks like i am going to have to repair the board on a componet level. Any help would be apprieciated.
I can share the manual with you. What is your e-mail address? The problem you are having, if the green is going on and off at random, could be a simple bad connection on the green CRT driver board. Like a bad solder connection on the socket itself. Or a bad connection on a component. Good Luck

You seem to be the man on these pages! I have a Sony KP57HW40 with a dead Blue CRT. Should I try to replace it or dump the set? Its 5 years old and the pic is not bad with 2 CRTs but wanted to give it a shot to see if I can get more life out of it for the kids Xbox. Its kind of dark though. May I get a copy of the manual to see how to replace the CRT? I don't want to screw it up. I have found a place that has the part but wanted to get details first.
