Palm M105 (internal) Battery Replacement?

I have a Palm M105. Whenever I replace the two AAA batteries, I am forced to do a hard reset. Apparently, the internal "battery" does not hold a charge long enough to supply power until I get the main batteries replaced. Does anyone know if this model uses an actual battery internally, or a capacitor for that purpose? I have been unable to get the screws loosened to open the cover.

I do not use my Palm frequently enough to justify buying a new PDA, but I keep a lot of important info on it. I just hate having to do a hard reset whenever the batteries need replacing, and then taking 20 minutes to synch the PDA with my pc. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.

I do not believe the M105

I do not believe the M105 uses an internal Lithium button cell battery to hold data during battery replacement. If they did, I'm sure they would have made it user replaceable. (If they didn't... talk about a bonehead design...)

Next time, instead of removing both AAA batteries at the same time, try completely replacing one and then the other. That has seemed to work for me in the past. If it doesn't work for you, I would not recommend removing the back cover unless you're willing to take the risk of breaking it.
