I have a mitsubishi 62525 that has continuous blinking green timer light and will not turn on . Can anyone help me solve this problem. I've read some of the threads about the DM board but don't have a clue how to locate this board. I'm pretty good at solder repairs but would like some assistance.

I am sending you some information on this TV set. Good Luck with the repair.
Larry, could you send the disassembly instructions and the service manual for the 62525?
After a power outage I have diagnosed my set with GBLS( green blinking light syndrome) The doc said it would be about 850.00 to cure. I think it may be a fuse because the outage left two of my guitar amps inoperable, I checked the fuses and they were fried. Any help with the manuals and instructions woill be much appreciated. I wish it was that easy man, I doubt very highly if there is a bad fuse. These sets have several capacitors that go bad in them. I will send you the repair info for most of these sets repair problems. Good luck
Thanks Larry,
The service manual and cap sheet was a big help. This tv is not very service friendly and with out the service manual I would not attempt servicing it. I did find a bad cap on the Power board, Replaced it and nothing. Due to the time factor of taking this set apart and putting it back together it seems very labor intesive. Once the set is aprart is there a way to test the voltages? I know some electronics with this much shielding will not operate correctly with out it.(grounding lifted) Also is there a way to get the dm module disconnected from the other boards on the 62525 set? I thought i had every screw removed and it still wouldnt budge.
Best Regards,
Brian
You should replace all the caps that are highlighted. I have found every one of them bad at one time or another.
Would it be better to replace them with a higher voltage rating? Why are they failing? from temp or over voltage?
Best Regards,
Brian
I really do not know, probably overvoltage? And temp.
Hello Larry,
Should we put in higher voltage value caps at the same uF rating? I know that space is a factor when you get them too high of voltage. Have you measured how much voltage is across the caps and compared it to the rated value?
Yes I have, it is way below the rated value, what the major problem is the filtering and the RF or shall I say the ac voltage across the caps, but I am not an engineer, I have simply used the rated voltage at the high temp and have had no problems.
Thanks Larry,
Just makes me wonder if the caps fail after 3 years am I going to have to do this all over again every three years? I have a 15 year old toshiba that only needs dusting!!
Have a good memorial day weekend!1

It is a hard call. I think it is a combination of good engineering and a poor part quality. I have never seen such repeated problems with Mitsubishi before!. I have always recommended nothing BUT Mitsubishi for a Good quality TV set. I am having second thoughts about this now.
Hello Larry,
I will replace all the caps recommended, Is there an easy way to dismember the DM module from the shielding cage?? At the time I bought this set, 3 1/2 years ago it had the best picture on the market. Now the LCD screens have come down in price and you can get a 52" for 2k which is half of what was paid for the Mitz 62" new. I hope that when it gets repaired it will be more reliable.
Mitsubishi WD-62725 DLP. Dr. Larry, I'm also having the green blinking light and it will not turn on. This happened when I unplugged the set to clean the mirror and side filter. I've been reading about the DM Board and was thinking of seeding it to PTS for repair. Could you send me a copy of the repairs for this? Also I was looking in the free manuals in the side link and could not find a manual for my Mitsubishi WD-62725 DLP HDTV. Do you know where to get a manual for this tv? My email is [email protected]. Thanks for your help. Duke.
Hi Larry: I've replaced the 4 caps (with 16v 100uF 105C) on the DM of our friends WD 62525. At the same time, I noticed two caps bulged on the PWB - FMT board and replaced all three of the 16v 1000uF 105C caps on that board. TV still blinking the green light. Could you please email any other info on other caps that may be bad on these boards. I already have the V26 chassis replacement pdf as well as the service manual. Thanks for any help

Is it possible to get a list of the capacitors that go bad. I have the same problem with my 62725. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Hello Larry:
After a recent power outage, I am experiencing the blinking green light problem. Specifically, the light blinks for a little bit and then the TV "gurgles". Do you have any information that may assist me with this problem. Thank you in advance.

Larry,
This really makes me mad, paying top dollar for my set (WD 62525), already having replaced the lamps several times (we do watch a lot of TV), and now the BGLOD. This is my 3rd Mitsubishi set (others all tubes). The last one, a 37" tube is still going strong after 13 years without a problem. I'd appreciate it if you could send a manual and instructions. Even if I repair it, I still may go to Costco and buy that 58" plasma I was looking at this morning for half what I paid for this dog! My email is [email protected]
