Hi,
I have the same problem with my tv with the blinking light problem. I was wondering if you could email me the instruction to fix it as well. The model number is WS 65613. Thank you
Hi. I can't believe how many posts there are for the same problem. I have the green blinking light of death on my WD 52725 Mitsubishi tv. Could you please email me the repair solution? I called a tech and they said it would be 650-750 dollars to fix it. For that price, I am better off buying a new tv (NOT A MITSUBISHI). These things should have been recalled.
Larry,
Hi. I forgot to mention my email. If you could send the directions or your advice for the WD52725 to [email protected] that would be great. Thank you for all your help. I cannot believe how many people you have helped.
does anyone have the schmeatic for the DMB for the 65513. i have a bad(physically broken) diode on it and i dont see a part number on the diode itself. hopefully i can just replace it. any help would be appreciated. my email address is [email protected].
Larry-
I own a Mits WD-52628 (52”) with the blinking green light. I’ve disassembled the set. The boards have the following:
DM board (three 25V and 680mF; six 25V and 680mF - 9 caps total)
MICRO board (four 35V and 470mF; one 16V and 270mF; one 10V and 20mF - 6 caps total)
FMT board (0 caps)
RISER board (0 caps)
POWER board (27 caps I can count)
Have several questions while I have the set apart:
1) Which caps on the DM board should be replaced?
2) Should any caps on the MICRO or PWR board be replaced?
3) Should I replace any of the PWR board fuses (I see two)?
4) Are there any other components that should be replaced (IÂ’ve seen in other posts reference to power supplies, filters, etc.).
Thank you very much in advance,
Scott [email protected]
Ok... I've been bitten by the blinking green bug. I too have a 65513 that decided to go kuput. I would like to replace the capacitors, as you suggest. Would you please forward the instructions to [email protected]?
i think i have the same blinking green light problem. tv just won't turn on and that silly green light just keeps blinking. could you send me the instructions for the fix. [email protected]
Larry- I am having a problem with my Mitsubishi WS-55909 HD TV, The timer light is flashing and the tv will not come on. Can you please email me the instructions at [email protected]
Thanks for all the info. I removed the DM board and had the capacitors professionaly replaced ( so I was not the one who messed up the soddering) I still have the same blinking green light problem. Even after re-installing the DM board a second time to try and make a good connection.

Hello, I'm having the same problem as well. Please e-mail me the instructions as well. My brother inlaw may be very familiar with these boards as he used to repair DM boards in the medical field.. Please forward the instructions and I'll check with him. I will repost if it turns out he can help others who can't solder. My e-mail is[email protected].
Larry if you can forward me the data I would also appreciate your help!

Larry Dillon said: If you are handy, and can solder, you may be able to save about 700 bucks if not more. There is a very common problem with these Mitsubishi TV sets. There is a digital board inside these puppies called the DM board. A lot of times there are four capacitors that go bad inside of these TV sets. Sometimes, depending on how bad the capacitors are, and if the capacitors did not blow out anything else on the Dm board, you can simply replace these four capacitors and this will fix your TV set. The average that this works on is about 65 to 70 % of the sets can be repaired with this fix. The others are power supply issues or the DM board has other issues. If you would like to attempt to repair your TV set, I will send you the instructions on how to do so. If you do not know how to solder well, do not attempt to replace the capacitors yourself. Pay a pro to do this for you. After all you are already saving a bundle of cash. Leave an e-mail address, and I will forward you the fix with and without the light engine. And if the capacitors inside the board are not swollen on the tops, as the direction shows you what they look like, change the capcitors anyway. I have had a few that looked good but the capacitors were on their way out. Good Luck
hey larry thanx in advance i have the same problem with a ws65513 please email instructions at [email protected] thanx.

hi Larry, I replaced the old capacitors and got power back to may tv but now the screen is distorted and three thin lines appeared on the top of the screen(blue, red and green) do you know why is this happening?
Any luck with WS65819 model repair procedure? I know your probably over run with requests but it just sucks being without the big screen for 2+ weeks now. Any help would be appreciated.
Larry,
I have a WS65513 that i replaced the caps on, but still get the blinking green light. I have pulled the board and have noticed a loose diode on the board. there are two diodes that are right next to each other on the bottom front (bottom being closest to the base connector), i do not see a part number on these, do you have any idea as to the part number of these diodes?

Hello Larry, John here =))
I would love it if you could send me a copy of the repair instructions. My TV just started giving me the green eyed blink of death as well.
Thank you so much in advance for this. I used to build slot cars as a kid and have quite a bit of soldering experience.
Thanks again!
Sincerely,
John
