I have a sony wega trinitron, model KV-32FV15.It takes a while to power on, and when it does, the picture flashes on and off - about a second on, and the one second black screen. This problem started about 2 to 3 weeks ago with just a longer power on process, then the picture flashing on and off a few times until today, when it does it all the time. Can anyone give me a clue to what could be wrong and what parts I would need replaced? Sony technician seemed to think it was the lamp that needed replacing...
It turns out this model doesn't even have a lamp! Any help out there, anybody?
From what I'm hearing we have to tweak the screen control on the flyback transformer, raising a little the G2 voltage.. I'm having the same problem.. Looking for some more info on it before I go ahead with it.. They also said it's a temporary fix and it's due to a weakening tube.. Hope it helps!!

Hey, so I didn't open her up and raise the voltage. But instead I thought to lower the brightness. Worked like a charm!! I'm good for now, hopefully it holds up!!
