Sony KP-53S25, Stand By LED flashing, sound, no picture...

Hello Everybody,

My 12 year old projector TV Sony KP-53S25 is giving me headaches once again.

Couple months ago I replaced the convergence IC's and everything was nice, picture bright and clean.

Last friday (9.05.08) I turn it on and got sound, but no picture and the stand by led keeps flashing (haven't noticed if there's a pause (I'll check tonite and feedback).

For I've read in this site looks like I have a problem in the G board?, please confirm.

Does anyone can send me a copy of the repair manual? if so, please send to: [email protected]

In a scale 1 to 10 how difficult would be to repair this problem (if possible)?

I know there are couple of TV repair gurus in here and hope to get a hint form any of them or anyone that had dealt with this issue in the past.

Ok guys, Thanks for the help! WOW, I didn't expect getting so many replies ;)

Anyway, just for the record, the stand by LED blinks and blinks, no pause, I got tired of watching it blinking to find out if there was a pause, no pause, blinking forever.

I read somewhere else that the constant blinking means that "...there's no reply from the jungle IC301, data bus busy, shorted to ground or held high; IK video path is defective..."

Now, can someone explain the above quote in plain English? is it fixable?

Hello,

OK guys, I replaced the jungle IC, still don't have picture, just sound, I don't know what else to check since nobody has replied.

Dillon, Dan, any idea? Or anybody that experienced this issue on their TV. I've been reading all over, almost any other model has solutions for the blinking issues with pauses. My tv blinks forever, no pause.

At this point any idea will be appreciated. BTW I called one of this pennysaver TV repair guys and explained my problem, he wants 400.00 to fixed, just out of the blue, he said he doen't have to look or come to check it out, he already knows what it is...Comments on this?
