I have a SONY 57" HDTV projection TV that is only about 4 years old. I can't find the model number as it is on the back of the unit and it takes two men and a small boy to move it. I read your article on the SONY Convergence problems & solutions and wonder if this info is current enough for the HD projection models. I don't know if SAMS service manuals are available anymore. I used to do a lot of hands on TV service including about 100 CRT monitors at NBC master control in Chicagto. But, that was over 30 years ago and technology has moved on. So I would appreciate any suggestions. I might add that the speaker grill on the front is removable, which allows access into the electronics area. Thanks. Bill
most all of the HDTV sonys use two STK392-560 convergence Ics located on the D board also on the d board are 6 3.5 amp pico fuses which will usually burn out when the ICs go. You can get replacement ICs and the pico fuses at the following link and they provide free instructions.
