It's probably the convergence amps might have failed...
I own HCL473W Samsung Projection
After I replacing two Stk392-040 Sanyo original ICs. My TV back to operational.
Has anyone looked in the techlore's technician's corner for a service manual for your TV set? There ar several HCL models avaialable there for a free download. there are several other Samsung models there too! Simply go to the home page, on the upper right hand corner, click on the resources tab then on technichcian's corner box then on the veiw list and scroll down to find the HCL and other Samsung models models and download.Good luck
my picture ais also washed out... i looked down the blue tube and it is pretty dirty i figure that is most definetly the proble.... any way for me to clean it? or should i just call some one in????
i have the smae problem i looked down the blue tube and it is very dirty... is there any way i can clean it or should i get some one to come in.... i dont want to screw anything up... if its an easy fix ill do it but if it requires taking the entire thing appart ill call someone in btw i have a philips 55pp97
Hi i was wondering if anyone could help me with the problem I'm having with my Samsung hc-p4752w. i see a full pic but there is a shadow of the same pic that is right next to it and it has a tint of green and red inside the shadow picture any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks again.
hie ,i also got a similer problem,a samsung 55" rear projector has got a convegence problem,it has much of the blue colour and a caved in picture from the top,i replaced the ics stk 390 040 and the fusable resistors but the problem still is the same,how do i correct the caved picture?

I actually replaced my entire convergence board. So the IC's are brand new. I dont think thats the problem.
It seems like a problem with the crt. I looked at the red crt ad it seemed fine, so i cant pinpoint a solution. \

I have replaced the STK's in mine and can adjust everything but the Blue up and down. Any ideas?
