Weird. First, hard reset it by unplugging it for about 4 hours, then plug back in and try again.
I'll try that, but I'm not optimistic. The set was unplugged for weeks recently. If anyone has the SAMS for this set (in folder 2887) please help me out. I'd like a scan of the schematic, especially any pages related to the IR receiver, controls area, etc. Thanks, radio-active
As I expected, unplugging for several hours did not help. I suspect either a microprocessor problem, or an IR receiver problem. Having the schematic or service manual would help me diagnose this. TV was an estate sale buy, so I'm not going to sink much into it. Still works fine, just annoyed at not being able to adjust anything (except tint). I haven't hooked it to cable yet so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get it to recognize all the cable channels. Any help getting the documentation greatly appreciated -- and compensated.
