I just purchased a refurbished 42' vizio gallervia and the screen has turned green. You can still see some of the picture but 75% of the picture itself has a bright green color. It never stayed that way for long at first, but now it goes on for days. I connected the tv directly to my Directv cable, bypassing the box, and its still green so I know its the tv.
If you just purchaced it, I would certainly take it back to where you bought it from.
The warranty is out. Is there any way I can fix it myself?
VIZIO Good luck tring to find parts for it WE don't work on Off Brands because of that Problem of getting parts & if we do find a Parts Dist. all they carry is the Remote Most want sell or carry modules because of the High Defective Returns .
Go back to where you bought it from and ask who fixes the sets in warranty? This is why on off brands I highly recommend an extended warranty!
You can try Asking the Place you bought unit from as Larry suggested But Most Places that sell Refurbs Just exchange them and send the defective unit back to MFG.
