Here is a question for the experts... Above is partial schematic of the G board on my sony kp-61hs10. I am trying to diagnose the power supply to the D board (specifically the Vertical control IC). The power to the D board is shown as 16.5 V, yet the same line is listed as 15V (as circled in blue), and powers 15V to the A board.
Am I crazy? When I check the voltage to D board, I get 14.5-15.0V before the TV shuts itself down. What should the voltage be to the D board?
Any insight would be much appreciated.
Expect this from Sony. What you have is the "in theory" and a "approximate measured" values. You not insane. Sony explained it to me years ago that different project engineers did different sections. So, you will get these "fuzzy" values and circuit duplications.
Thanks guys, I'm guessing if I have 14.5 to 15V that is not my problem.
No usually if it is a volt or two off on a solid supply like this, That is generally not a big deal. But if you get a diiference of .4 or so difference on a switching transistor, it can make a big difference.
