Playback freezing on Recordable DVD Player

Hi all,

I recently purchased a new Recordable DVD/VCR Combo from Sears and, upon playing the DVD's after having recorded on them, the image freezes anywhere for a second to a few minutes.

Before I call Sears to schedule a repair, I thought I would post here to see if anyone else has had the same problems and, if so, what their solution was.
