Sony KP61S70

Hello! Our sony projection TV's red went out of whack...we have replaced the IC chips and now we are unable to even get a picture on the screen. In removing the board, we could not figure out how to remove the main two (red) wires, so someone cut them (remaining nameless - not me) :)

We don't know if we have now messed up the main power supply. We have no known blown resistors and we are receiving 5 steady (red) blinking lights when powering up. Everything is connected as it was prior to the repair.

PLEASE HELP. We do not have a service manual to help reference various parts and what nots. We have read everthing on repairing the convergence and are at a loss.

Any help would be appreciated.

THANKS

What wires did you cut? Those

What wires did you cut? Those need to be spiced together with high voltage putty as there is 30,000 volts on one of the thicker wires. I do not have the service manual on this TV set. Double check the solder connections on the IC's you replaced. I would like to see a picture of those colder connections.

I was messing around with the service menu and lost the paper where I had the original settings written down. Know the Blue's out of wack and I can't remeber any of the original settings. I'm don't wanna mess with the wires maybe you can send me your screen settings?

Big mistake. No such thing as

Big mistake. No such thing as screen settings or default settings. You will need to find the paper or start over with the convergence. Why were you trying to adjust the convergence anyway? If the convergence was off you made your second mistake by going into the service menu and trying to adjust the convergence. If the convergence goes out all of a suddenly, the problem is not an adjustment.

What I meant is that in the

What I meant is that in the factory all the Tv's have the same screen setup.
I accessed it via remote.
With the TV off using the remote I entered [Display],[5],[Volume up],[Power].
To navigate [1] for UP, [4] for Down.
Use the [Power] button to exit.
(!!DON'T PRESS [3],[6]OR THE ARROW KEYS THAT WILL MAKE CHANGES!!)
IF YOU MAKE ANY CHANGES JUST PRESS [8],ENTER. THAT WILL RESET ALL THE CHANGES MADE.
Now I've figured up which one control color, contrast, brightness and tint the problem is the th rest of the settings.
