I have a JVC AW-56WP74 that decided to bow the screen on the top and bottom. It has a green and purple tint with double picture. Advice that I have recieved suggested that my convergence chips (ic's) are bad and need to be replaced. I am trying to order the parts that I need to fix the tv but I have no idea which one to order because jvc website doesn't give details on the part number (or I just don't understand). Can anyone help me with trying to figure out what parts I need to order? Thanks
I just got the stk 392-110 from electronix.com. I put them in and wham the same problem I had is still happening.
Idk if its bad parts or if there is something else wrong on the board, but I do know that is the right part number.
You will need to look for bad circuit protectors or fuses mounted and soldered right to the board. Maybe even a bad resistor or two. They may be located in the main power supply on this model. They control the plus and the minus voltage to the IC's.
