While watching . Tv went black had to turn off then back to get picture back. Now it will not convergence. The red seems to be the problem.Got any advise other than calling the repair man. Oh yeah it is a 2001 model.
Hi, I also have the Panasonic PT 61HX40, I've had it since 2001 as well. This has been a great TV and every year I would have technician come and service it because I purchased the extended warranty from the Big Electronics Store. I bought a new plasma in 2007, so I declined to maintain the warranty on the Panasonic since it cost $400.00 to keep it this time. Now, the green convergence is putting a bow at the bottom of the screen, ever heard of Murphy's Laws - well I think my great-grandfather wrote those with me in mind. Am I out of luck on this one?
