i replaced both ic and can get into the setup mode or service mode started getting all the lines to line up.
but here is the problem. alone the right and left edges of the tv it seems i can not get the blue lines to move far enough to the left to align with the green lines.
also the green lines will not move far enough to the right to align with blue lines... now i can get red to move far enough to align with the green or blue
i just having problems with gren and blue...
now in the center of tv i have everthing alinged pretty close it still needs fine tuning their but all line are together
any help please
oh this is a 2002 sony rear projection tv 57" don't have model number on me right now
sounds like you have an over compensation on the opposite side, try adjusting the far point on the opposite side of the screen, sometimes this will work. also you may have problems with you green geometry, it is important to get the green set up correctly first. The other colors need to converge to green. There is an overlay that we can get from sony to do the inital setup, but i rarely use it. Basically bring up the green geometry and look at green only, make sure the cross hatch pattern (grid) is perfectly straight, and all the squares are exactly the same width and height. If all your colors will move in all directions, your stk's are fine. you are now left with a tough geometry alignment. I have been up agents this before, and it can be a real pain. make sure you adjust all the screen modes, the screen mode you are trying to converge maybe a mode that you never use so it may be a mute point to adjust that screen mode.
I tried to do it AND I MUST BE DOING SOMETHING WRONG.
i tried to push the blue to the left and it gone as far as i can make it move, the same with the green it will not move to the right any futher. so tv is way out of adjustment. the color are real close on the right side of screen and to the middle but the futher to the left i go the futher the colors are from each other. when i started doing this my friend who helpped cleaned all the stuff inside tv with air from my air compressor. i dont know
ps when you remove d board their is a device on the board with two red wires to it. how do you remove red wires. i didn't want to force any thing so i just work on board on the ground by the tv.
Try some basic geometry adjustments like linarity, and width, height adjustments. How far off is it at the best adjustment, how many inches apart are the colors. take a picture of the cross hatch (grid) that may help.
on the right edge their are two lines verical that are real close togehter. on the left side the same thing i tried to spread them out but it not working for me i must be doing something wrong.
on right side and to the middle i have the lines c;ose together but they will not converge.
on left side the blue and greeen are one rectangle box from each other
