My SHARP TV model LC-26GA4M has no picture. Can see the power light RED but goes itself to Green and keeps flicking every about 20 seconds but no picture at all. This happened since I brought my TV to UK from Brunei. Nothing is connected to tv except power cable. Please help....
For those who do not know and may ask"where is this place Brunei"? Brunei, for those who would like to know, is a southeast Asian country located next to Malaysia. I checked a great referance chart I got a while back, on teleivision standards and found out that both Brunei and the UK had the same TV standards, as well as the same line frequency. The standard is Pal. So my thoughts are, that the set must have been damaged in transit, and not a voltage issue. Most likly a broken connection on the printed circuit board, or the board its self has a crack in it. This is a solid state set and without the proper training theres not alot a consumer can do to repair these sets themselfs, as there are no user replaceable parts in side these sets. If your not a technician, with the training in High voltage safety issues in TV sets, PLEASE contact a service depot or lab to assist you in this repair. Please let us know how you made out as maybe your response will help another who comes to find an answer. Thanks again for coming to techlore and please come again as we have loads of fun and interesting things to read and learn a bit about. Good Luck
Larry, Thanks for the information. I will do as you have said.
