Hi, I have a Toshiba Theaterview model #43H70 that was fine last night, then this morning I turn it on and the red is way out of whack. I tried the convergence setting on the remote and the red is too far off to adjust. Is this something I can fix (pretty good with electronics)? If not, any idea how expensive this is going to be? Any reply would be greatly appreciated! Than you in advance:)
I had a similar problem with my blue convergence:

Luckily, my TV was under warranty, so I can't tell you how much it cost
Unfortunately, my warranty ran out in April. Thats's the first thing I checked:) Just my luck. Anyone have any idea of the price range of this of repair? Please?
After MUCH research I discovered that I needed to replace 2 IC's (part# stk392-110) that are screwed to the large heat-sinks. Did the repair myself for $60.00!!!! A tv repairman who is a friend of a friend told me the repair would be around $500 including the service call. Who can afford that? That's why God gave us soldering irons!
If anyone decides to try this themselves and needs some pointers, email me at "[email protected]" and I'll tell you what I can. If you're not electronically inclined....don't even think about it!
