I have a JVC GR-D20E. It is recording nothing but sound, not images. I have purchased a new battery, new tape and new charging craddle, but still nothing. The screen show black in record mode and flashes a message of Len's Cap when turned on, but only flashes about 5 times then stops. Any thoughts on what the problem may be?
According to your manual, your len's cap error message flashes if your camera thinks that the lens cap is still on. Perhaps it is smart enough not to film if it thinks that the lens cap is on. Try and jiggle the connector to the lens cap to see if you can get the message to go off. Worth a try anyway.
Still doesn't work. Apparently, so the shop tells me...the "Iris" is in the locked position and he is "still" trying to fix it. Something about a sensor for the lense cap as well.
I REALY NEED HELP LENS CAP IS FLASHING ON MY CAMCORDER. LENS CAP IS NOT ON. IT IS A BRAND NEW JVC CAMCORDER. WHAT CAN I DO?
