Ok heres one for ya. My husband threw my xbox in the swimming pool because he says I play it too much. Now how can that be. haha. So what I did is left it out in the sun to dry and when I plug it up the green light comes on and the Xbox green screen displays, but the cd drive does not open. Then the green light starts flasing red. Has the joy of my life been ruined, or is there hope that I'll have xbox back in my life again. There must be hope if I get that much response out of it, since it was after all in the pool for 2 days., haha. Thanks for your help it you can.:)
Even though it may still be possible to turn it on, that only means the power supply still works. Other board components, the optical drive, and the hard drive are probably all shot.
I'm afraid this joy in your life has been ruined, but lucky for you, your bundle of joy has millions of identical brothers and sisters. You can pick up a new bundle of joy for $149.99 at any video game retailer, or you can adopt one at a shelter (like GameStop or EB Games) for $129.99 or less.
Funny that your husband threw it in the pool... it's usually the other way around. :-) I guess this means you'll be spending more time playing to get back to where you were in your favorite titles!
